HIGHLAND PARK

Having grown up in Highland Park, I have personal knowledge of everything this small town has to offer. 

 It is walking disctance to New Brunswick which is the bustling city that is the home of Rutger's University.

Highland Park is a community of approximately 14,000 residents, tree lined residential areas and an old fashioned main street called Raritan Ave. Downtown Highland Park is the vital center of this small, progressive community on the Left Bank of the Raritan River.   You can find your neighbors on Raritan Ave shopping, dining or attending one of the many street fairs.

Highland Park is also home to an outdoor farmer's market every Friday afternoon from April through October.

With walking access to public transit  that delivers commuters to New York City  in as little as 50 minutes and a great school system, it's easy to understand why people choose to live, work, shop and raise their families in Highland Park.

• In 2009, Highland Park High School earned a “Silver” medal in the prestigious U.S. News &

World Report competition. Only 23 New Jersey schools scored this well.

• In 2008, Highland Park High School students earned an average combined SAT score of 1660

and had 11 National Merit Finalists or Scholars. About 9 out of 10 graduates go on

to college.
